ATTENTION PARENT COACHES Louisiana Fire Soccer welcomes new and returning parent volunteer coaches. Being a parent volunteer coach is a great way to enjoy the sport with your child. We understand that many parents are new to soccer. There is no prior experience necessary to be a parent volunteer coach. Louisiana Fire Soccer will hold a Volunteer Parent Coaching Clinic from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on August 28, 2010 in Metairie (see details below). There will be a social afterwards from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Professional coaches will be available to work with the parent volunteer coaches during the season. Each fall and spring season, we may offer Volunteer Parent Coach Clinics at each of our campuses. Please join the Louisiana Fire Soccer Family!

SOCCER REFEREE CLASS
Classes for people who want to become soccer referees will be held as listed below. All classes must be attended. This is a 15-hour course followed by the written exam:
Sunday, August 8------ 1 to 5 pm
Tuesday, August 10----- 6:30 to 9:30 pm
Wednesday, August 11----- 6:30 to 9:30 pm
Sunday, August 15----- 1 to 6 pm
Sunday, August 22----- 1 to 2:30 pm (written exam)
Class space is limited so the first 30 to register and pay will be accepted. Call early to ensure your acceptance. Persons 12 and older are encouraged to register.

Lakeview 00 Thunder win MSC Midnight Madness!The U10 Boys won a thrilling final match by defeating Mandeville 3-1 in extra time. The tournament was held October 22-25 in Mandeville. Congratulations to the team on their first tournament crown!

Lakeview 92 Boys win MSC Classic!The U18B had another great showing! The U18 Thunder played their first tournament this season at the Labor Day MSC Classic in Mandeville, September 5-6, 2009. They defeated Carrollton Soccer Club in the final match with a 2-0 score. Congratulations to the team!

High School All Stars Games
The LHSSCA recently selected two of our coaches to coach the inaugural All Star High School Soccer games. Coach Hubie Collins(Jesuit High School) headed the East All Star Boys Team,
while Coach Pavlos Petrou(Mount Carmel Academy) was the Head Coach for the East All Star girls team. Congratulations to both!!!

Lakeview 92 Boys win their third tournament of the year!The U17B have done it again! The U17 Thunder claimed their third tournament championship this season at the Superclubs Tournament in Memphis, May 9-10, 2009. They defeated Jackson Football Club in the final match with a 2-0 score. Earlier in the day, Lakeview won their
semifinal game against the 92 Chicago Strikers with a 4-1 score. Congratulations to the team.

Lakeview’s Lightning ‘92 Girls won the U17G Premier Division of the John Talley Showcase in Memphis, March 28-29, 2009.

Lakeview 92 Boys win Gulf Coast Cup tournament.
The U 17 Boys had a great showing at the Gulf Coast Cup winning
the U16-18B Division. The Thunder won the championship game
against Gulf Coast United by 4-0.
